Trump is an idiot. He is now threatening to impose additional tariffs on Canada for the wildfire smoke. Trump appears unwilling or unable to accept two well-established facts: First, tariffs are generally paid by U.S. importers, and those costs are often passed on to American consumers through higher prices—they are not paid directly by the foreign country. Second, there is no credible evidence that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
