Trump and big money fat cats have played you. Billionaires and powerful corporations have spent enormous amounts of money spreading misinformation and manipulating working-class voters into supporting policies that benefit them—not ordinary Americans.

Billionaires don’t become billionaires by making working-class people richer. Too often, their wealth comes at the expense of workers who struggle to keep up with rising costs while the wealthiest continue to accumulate more wealth.

Working-class Americans have more in common with one another than with billionaires who use their wealth and influence to shape our government.

Republicans have consistently supported policies that benefit the wealthy, including the tax cuts signed into law by Donald Trump that disproportionately benefited higher-income Americans.

Democrats have championed programs and policies that have directly benefited working Americans, including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the minimum wage.

So ask yourself: What have Republicans actually done to improve the lives of working-class Americans?
